A heat pump is a machine or device that moves heat from one location (the 'source') to another location
(the 'sink' or 'heat sink') using mechanical work. Most heat pump technology moves heat from a low
temperature heat source to a higher temperature heat sink. Common examples are food refrigerators
and freezers, air conditioners, and reversible-cycle heat pumps for providing thermal comfort.
Most commonly, heat pumps draw heat from the air, hence an Air-to-Water Heat Pump is a device that
is pumping heat from the Air to Water. To do so, the Heat Pump needs energy - rule over thumb:

To produce 1000 W of thermal energy to heat water a Heat Pump needs 250-400 W electrical energy, while an electric heater needs 1100 W electrical energy to produce 1000 W thermal energy. Hence the energy saving is about 70 %! Compared to a gas boiler (in Thailand gas is cheaper than grid power) the energy saving is about 40 %.

Summary:
- A heat pump is a common device to produce hot water ("Heat pump water heater")
- Compared to standard water heaters the energy saving is between 40 % (gas boiler) and 70 % (electric heater)
- A Heat Pump will reduce your carbon footprint and will save your money

We offer two types of heat pump water heaters:

Type: "All In One":

Heat Pump with integrated 190 l tank,
heating capacity 1500 W
This Heat Pump can supply up to 10 shower points with hot water, this means it can replace 10 electric heaters.

Main features:
- Tank volume 190 l
- Compressor 580 W power consumption
- R134a refrigerant, no ozone depletion potential
- Heating capacity 1,500 W (EER = 2,6)
- Safety condenser coil twist outside the tank
- Two electric backup heaters each 2,500 W
- Fan unit 5,000 BTU cooling
- Water temperature 38-60°C
- Soundlevel 55 dBa
- Easy setup, three running modes
(standard, energy saving, timer controlled)

Type "Stand alone":

Heat Pump with different tank sizes, heating capacity 5000 W.
This Heat Pump can supply up to 40 shower points with hot water (equals 40 electric heaters)!

Main features:
- Compressor 1,290 W power consumption
- Heating capacity 5,000 W (EER = 3,9)
- Two electric backup heaters each 2,500 W
- Water temperautre 38-55°C
- Environmental friendly refrigerant R410a
- Soundlevel 55 dBa

We provide hot water storage tanks (pressurized)
- Tank volume 260-500 l, stainless steel, with controll unit.

Besides of our "hot water for free" air condtioners, these Air-to-Water Heat Pumps are the most economical water heating systems. Combined with large storage tanks, the hot water costs can be reduced to 3 THB per bathroom and day.

Pool Heat Pumps can both heat and cool your swimming pool. A pool heat pump is cheaper then an equivalent gas boiler and is by far more comfort due to digital control units.

Remark:
In Thailand the standard heat pump is using R22 as refrigerant gas which has a relatively low ozone depletion potential of 0.055. However, even this lower ozone depletion potential is no longer considered acceptable. It will be phased out soon under the Montreal Protocol, to be replaced by other refrigerants with lower or no ozone depletion potential.
We are offering heat pumps using R134a as refrigerant gas, which has no ozone depletion potential.
